Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi – Fly to Samburu National Reserve
Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi, you will be met a representative of Wild Mystery Safaris and transferred to Wilson Airport for a morning flight to Samburu National Reserve approximately 1 hour 20 minutes. On arrival, your guide will escort you to your lodge with a short game drive en route. After check-in and lunch, head out for your first afternoon game drive to explore the arid but wildlife-rich terrain. Look out for the Samburu Special Five, Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Samburu National Reserve
Spend a full day discovering the striking landscapes and diverse wildlife of Samburu. Morning and afternoon game drives allow you to spot elephants, leopards, lions, and unique birdlife. In between drives, relax by the lodge pool or enjoy views of the Ewaso Nyiro River. Optional activities include a cultural visit to a Samburu village (extra cost), offering insight into this semi-nomadic tribe’s lifestyle. Return to your camp for dinner and a peaceful night under the stars.

Day 3: Fly to Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, fly from Samburu to the Masai Mara via Nairobi Wilson Airport approximately 2 hours. Upon landing, your driver-guide will transfer you to your luxury tented camp or lodge get a sneak peek of some of the animals. After lunch and some relaxation, enjoy an afternoon game drive across the golden plains of the Mara. This world-renowned reserve is rich with wildlife including lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and cheetahs. Return to camp for dinner and a cozy overnight stay.

Day 4: Full Day Game Drive in Masai Mara National Reserve
Start the day with a sunrise game drive as the plains come alive. With luck, you may spot the Big Five and witness dramatic predator-prey interactions. You may opt for a hot air balloon safari with a champagne breakfast (optional but unforgettable). After lunch, head out for another game drive or relax at camp. You can also visit a local Maasai village to learn about their culture and traditions. Enjoy a delicious dinner around the fire under the vast African sky.

Day 5: Fly to Nairobi – Overnight Stay
After breakfast and a final morning game drive, fly from the Masai Mara to Nairobi Wilson Airport approximately 1 hour. You’ll be met and transferred to your hotel in Nairobi. Spend the afternoon at leisure—options include visiting the Giraffe Centre, David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, or Karen Blixen Museum (extra cost) or even enjoy the hotel amenities. In the evening enjoy dinner followed by an overnight stay in a serene setting.

Day 6: Fly to Amboseli National Park
After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to Wilson Airport for your morning flight to Amboseli National Park approximately 1 hour. Upon landing, your guide will transfer you to your lodge or tented camp with views of Mount Kilimanjaro. After lunch and a short rest, enjoy an afternoon game drive. As the sun begins to dip behind Kilimanjaro, you’ll be guided to a scenic sundowner spot. With the mountain’s snow-capped peak glowing in the sunset and elephants in the distance, sip cocktails and enjoy light bites in one of Africa’s most iconic settings. Return to camp for dinner and a magical night in the wild.

Day 7: Full Day in Amboseli National Park
Enjoy a full day of wildlife viewing in Amboseli. The park’s open plains and marshes make it perfect for spotting large elephant herds, buffalo, lions, and a wide variety of birds. After a sunrise game drive and breakfast, relax at your lodge or take a guided bush walk. Head out again in the late afternoon for more wildlife encounters. Cap the day with a delicious farewell dinner and some quiet time under the stars.

Day 8: Fly Back to Nairobi – Departure
After breakfast and one final game drive (time permitting), transfer to the airstrip for your morning flight to Nairobi approximately 1 hour. Upon arrival at Wilson Airport, you will be transferred to JKIA for your international flight or spend the day shopping depending on what time your flight is.
